Alpine Hunting New Zealand - for the ultimate red stag hunt!

March 2009 Newsletter

Welcome to our very first newsletter! The 2009 season has got off to a great start and we've had a particularly prolonged rut with excellent red stags hunted so far.  Our breeding programme is paying off with longer, wider and heavier trophies available.  Both blocks (Taihape and Te Puke) are producing outstanding Sambar and Rusa (some still in velvet) and there'll be some awesome trophies available later in the season. The winter coats on the Tahr and Chamois are growing nicely as the colder months are coming.

Tom Miranda was over here shooting TV show for ESPN channel which will air in fall and Mike Roger from Expedition Safari is filming in April.  Check the website for regular updates to our "latest news" section and we have some incredible booking incentives planned for anyone thinking about coming over at the last minute.

We have had a few groups touring and combining their hunt of a with sightseeing which is ideal solution if you want 'the whole package'.  We enjoy meeting our hunters and there are always a few tall stories to be told after a day out hunting - sometimes we even can learn a thing or two!

Cheers, Shane
