| We’ve become extremely proficient in organising awesome brown and rainbow trout fishing expeditions on either our own Rangitikei River frontage or just up the road at Lake Taupo for just a morning or for a whole day.
If you'd like to take a short break in the middle of your hunting day to fish the Rangitikei River, your hunting guide can take you to our River boundary to enjoy the tranquil and scenic setting that is accessible only to our hunting guests.
In the warmer months, if you're nice to our chef he may even prepare a picnic lunch you can enjoy on our private landing as you dabble in some catch and release trout fishing. (We have 3 miles of river frontage however due to difficult terrain only limited access is available between February and late April by request only).
Just 2 hours from Alpine Hunting's main Lodge is Lake taupo, NZs largest freshwater lake. Fly-fishing guides will have you hooked up to a fish on your first day. A great sport all year round. The Alpine Hunting team can also arrange all sorts of fishing options around the country that are available all year for saltwater or freshwater fish - all you have to do is ask! |
