I have been fortunate to hunt all over the world, and New Zealand rates at the top of the list. My experiences with Alpine Hunting in New Zealand, have been some of the best I have ever had hunting.
Their Red Stags are second to none. I have brought my wife Robin and two sons on trips with Alpine Hunting, and as soon as my daughter is old enough, it’s her turn.
Alpine Hunting is first class all the way. And what makes them stand out from the rest is their staff. The group has been together for some time, and its like hunting with family. The lodging and food is first rate, and I would recommend this “Adventure” to anyone. Shane Quinn does it right, and when you travel half way around the world, the last thing you want is excuses. You will find none here!

Dear Shane, just a short note to again express my appreciation for the most memorable hunt of a lifetime - the memories still linger in my mind of the total experience. Having flown three combat tours in my lifetime I don&lsqo;t know of a bigger adrenalin rush during any flight than hunting Tahr and Chamois from your helicopter in the alpine mountains of the South Island - what an experience and what a bunch of professionals. Wow, I am still recovering from this great hunt, it truly was the hunt of my life! For 30 odd years I’ve wanted to be able to hunt with my wife along side of me. After our last kid of 5 left for college, I booked several hunts for her. I took her to Mexico for Coues Whitetail, New Mexico for Mule Deer, Missouri for Whitetail and then New Zealand to hunt with Alpine Hunting. I must say that Alpine Hunting came through in more ways than I can describe on this “dream hunt” for me to give here as a gift for letting me hunt all these years. With Ian as our guide, he found her a trophy beyond description with a perfectly symmetrical 410+ super stag, and the animals displayed in our home will always bring fond memories of Alpine Hunting Adventures and your team we made friends with. We have re-booked for 2008 and I must say that I am already anxious to come back - this time with at least 2 sons.
